The fees payable for management system certification activities are calculated taking into account the information/parameters provided in your certification enquiry/application.
The main factor influencing the determination of the fees payable is the number of audit days required to conduct an effective audit. When calculating the required audit days, information on the effective number of personnel is taken into account (the effective number of personnel includes full-time personnel; shift workers and part-time personnel converted to the equivalent of an eight-hour working day).
The Management Systems Certification Body takes into account the influence of other factors associated with reducing/increasing the number of days required to conduct an effective audit, in accordance with the requirements of the certification scheme (БДСEN ISO/IEC 27006-1:2024 – for information security management systems) and the documents of the Global Accreditation Cooperation (Global ACI, formerly IAF) mandatory for application by certification bodies – Global ACI-TECH-3-003 (IAF MD 4), Global ACI-TECH-3-004 (IAF MD 5), Global ACI-TECH-3-008 (IAF MD 11). An audit for transition to a revised version of a standard may require additional audit time, and the time spent on remote auditing using information and communication technologies is included in the total audit time.
If your management system allows an integrated audit to be conducted in accordance with the requirements applicable to it (for example, an audit against ISO 9001 and ISO 14001/ISO 45001/ISO/IEC 27001), the fees payable may be reduced by up to 20% depending on the level of integration of the management system (Global ACI-TECH-3-008, Global ACI-TECH-3-004).
The expenses associated with the business travel of the audit team (where applicable) of the Management Systems Certification Body within SMART CERTIFICATION EOOD are calculated and included in the fees payable for the specific certification activity according to the number of days required to conduct an effective audit. The business travel amount includes daily allowances, accommodation and travel expenses, calculated in accordance with the provisions of the legislation in force governing the procedures and amounts for business travel within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
